XSML Invest in DRC’s Hydrotek

Central Africa fund manager XSML have announced a new DRC investment, this time in Hydrotek SARL, incorporated in Lubumbashi in 2012. The company sells pipes, pumps, valves, and provides installation and maintenance services. It serves mining firms, the construction industry, the local water company as well as private customers. Hydrotek plan to use XSML’s funding to construct its own warehouse and distribution centre, which will also enable it to expand its inventory.

XSML have invested across sectors in DRC, but are creating clusters: their portfolio company Alpha Transport, for example, is also headquartered in Katanga province and services the mining industry. Source: Africa Assets
