A Moroccan fertiliser- manufacturing firm is in talks with Government on possibilities of reviving Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia (NCZ) to full operation capacity.

NCZ requires an injection of K1 billion to bring back the operations to full capacity as a strategic partner in the development of the agriculture sector.

The funds are meant for the rehabilitation of various plants and working capital.

But OCP Africa business development manager Mheddi Qukach said the company started discussions with Government to help revamp the Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia.

“We have started discussions with the Government but we are yet to reach a conclusion. We also want to work with different private institutions that support modern technology of farming. Source: Zambia Daily Mail Limited
